Fiction Workshop — 9 weeks

Dates and time: Wed., Sept. 11 – Nov. 6; 6 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

Location: Baltimore City, at instructor’s home one block from JHU Homewood campus (location announced once you’ve registered); street parking widely available

Cost: $700.00

In this workshop, we’ll closely read and comment on two short stories and/or novel excerpts for each participant, focusing on the craft elements of fiction writing. We’ll also read and discuss examples of works by published writers from around the world. And you’ll have homework in the form of focused, craft-based exercises that build upon the skills you’re acquiring and refining, and help you generate new material. Open to a maximum of 9 writers, to ensure close attention to your work.
